The Visual Resource Center(VRC) supports the educational goals of faculty and students in the CSUSB Department of Art. Located on the second floor of the Visual Arts Center, it is home to a collection of nearly 1,000 books and videos as well as digital image and traditional 35mm slide collections. In addition to the collection, the center serves as a supplemental computer lab and study space. Computers within the lab are equipped with most of the imaging software used in digital art and design courses.

The center also provides services to the visual arts community. Faculty may rent special equipment for lectures, request image reproductions, and resource lists. Students can rely on the center for a regular schedule of seminars in topics such as copyright, information literacy and professional skills as well as individualized assistance with research projects. The center also screens films and offers reading groups on a rolling basis.
