Faculty may request image scanning or copy photography for special projects or course materials. In addition to the creation of images, the VRC will also create PDFs of articles or book chapters for faculty members for use in courses.

Guidelines for faculty
- Please fill out the Image Reproduction Form and email or deliver the form to the Visual Resource Center.
- Image processing will take up to 2 weeks. Scanning of articles may take up to 2 days. Very large requests or requests requiring more attention may take longer.
- Images may be added to the permanent collection according to the acquisition policy.
- The VRC is not responsible for how faculty members use digital images. If you have questions about the fair use of images, please contact Visual Resources Specialist
The VRC creates materials for educational use under the guidelines for fair use set out by the Visual Resources Association and the Association of College and Research Libraries. The VRC may refuse digitization requests if we believe they violate copyright law, but the faculty member is solely responsible for using digital materials in accordance with copyright law and fair use best practices.
